I'm extremely disappointed with the item and the service. Time has now lapsed past the noted return date on the invoice and I feel suspicious that they did this to avoid taking them back. I have contacted (emailed) them on two additional occassions without any response back.
The email address on the invoice is incorrect (I figured out the mistake on my own when writing an email about being short shipped one battery-which they did respond to). I have asked for help with charging of the batteries, asked for a phone number to speak with someone, and gave them my phone number to have someone call me. I had ordered 2 batteries and in receiving them I had only received one (the shipping invoice read "2" shipped)and had to ask for the second one.
They STILL haven't responded. The batteries are labeled the same as the ones I currently have (and needed to replace) but my charger is not "reading" them once I place them in it. There is no phone contact number to speak with anyone in asking for assistance.
Upon no response to my outreach I have finally emailed one last time for an RA number to return. Overall sketchy deal.
I have had my Makita 9.6v drill since 1992 (17 years). I have used my drill hard and I love these batteries. and this is the third pair of batteries I have purchased. The second set still work but are getting weak so I purchased another pair. I once stripped the paint off a 12' aluminum boat using a 3" wire wheel in the drill and rotated between the two batteries for 15 hours straight (use one, charge the other, repeat) until all the 20 year old enamel paint was gone. 'Nuff said.
Needless to say, I love my Makita Cordless Drill. I prefer to purchase the batteries two at a time.
My first dual set of Makita batteries lasted over 11 years. Just like the Energizer Rabbit, these wonderful batteries keep my trusty Makita Cordless Drill going and going.
Nice. I don't like the new cordless power tools they crank out today with the huge batteries that add too much additional weight.
These slim stick batteries disappear into the Makita handle and add only a minimum of evenly dispersed weight to the drill. One inside the drill and the other in the charger.
I hope they keep manufacturing these genuine Makita replacement batteries for many years to come.
You charge it and it makes the drill go. What else can one ask for.
What a waste. I purchased this item and wasted my money. I can't use it because my drill evidently has gone bad rather than the battery. It would have been nice to have understood the possibility of returning the battery if it didn't solve my problem. I guess I can buy a drill if I can find one that uses the same battery.
